VOLUNTEER!

The New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice is dedicated to
organizing workers across race and industry to build the power and
participation of workers and communities. We organize day laborers,
guestworkers, and homeless residents to build movement for dignity and
rights in the post-Katrina landscape.  NOWCRJ will work closely with
the selected applicants to ensure that the volunteer’s skills are
matched with a project that is integral to NOWCRJ’s priorities and
meets a core need of our grassroots membership groups.

The New Orleans Workers’ Center for Racial Justice seeks volunteers who can make a long term commitment- at least 3 months to work with the Workers’ Center.   People of Color, people from New Orleans, or people who are fluent in Spanish, Hindi, Malayalam, Telegu, Tamil, Punjab, or Portugese are strongly encouraged to apply.

In order to be considered for a volunteer position at the Workers’ Center please submit your resume, cover letter, and two references along with a description of your interests, history, and availability to volunteer@nowcrj.org
