The Warrant Clinic gives New Orleans residents the chance to waive fines and fees, and throw out warrants and get on the path to restore their driver’s license — without fear of arrest or deportation.
Yes, you must apply to attend the Warrant Clinic. This allows the court to pull and review all possible cases tied to your name, which speeds up their process so they can assist more people on the day of the Warrant Clinic.
Doors will open at 8:30 AM on the day of the Warrant Clinic. Please note that the Warrant Clinic is first-come, first-serve. The later you arrive, the longer you may have to wait to be seen.
Yes, please bring a state ID, driver’s license, or passport to the Warrant Clinic. If your driver’s license is suspended, you may still use it as a form of ID.
Yes, we encourage anyone with outstanding fines, fees, or warrants to APPLY for our Warrant Clinic.
No. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve any case with a scheduled trial date.
No. Unfortunately, the Warrant Clinic cannot remove a payment plan from your record.
No. Unfortunately, this Warrant Clinic will only resolve tickets, warrants, suspended licenses, fines, or fees within Orleans Parish. You should still attend if you have Orleans Parish issues, but expect that you will also need to resolve issues in other parishes separately before you can get your driver’s license reinstated. No. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve camera tickets at this year’s Warrant Clinic.
Yes, we encourage anyone who has a ticket for driving without insurance to register for our Warrant Clinic.
No. Unfortunately, we are unable to expunge charges at this year’s Warrant Clinic. The Warrant Clinic can resolve tickets, fines, fees, warrants, and suspended licenses — but it cannot remove cases from your record. We will have advocates at the Resource Fair who specialize in Expungement Clinics for particular criminal convictions.
It depends on when you arrive and how many people are ahead of you in line. In past years, the entire process has taken attendees between 1-4 hours.
Because we are unable to estimate how long your appointment may take, it is safest to refrain from making other commitments on the day of the Warrant Clinic.There will be NO threat of arrest or deportation at the Warrant Clinic. NOWCRJ and the courts are fully committed to ensuring that no arrests are made at the Warrant Clinic.
At both the 2024 and 2025 Warrant Clinics, we processed hundreds of people without any arrests being made — and we will do the same this year.There will be NO state police or NOPD at the Warrant Clinic.
