This survey is about speaking our collective truth to power. Your story is critically important. Join the voices of hundreds of other workers so we can tell the real truth about COVID-19 and use that truth to win our freedom.
Workers around this country have fought for and won the power to control health and safety conditions at work. Just look at the creation of an Essential Workers Board in nearby Houston, Texas. We in Louisiana have this power too. To seize it, we must first begin with this survey - with telling the REAL truth and shattering illusions.
Some of the illusions we’re told keep us from seeing the world clearly. There’s the myth that low-income black and brown folks were dying in droves from COVID-19 because of who we are.
They said we don’t eat right.
That we’re fat and sick already.
That we’re stressed from being poor.
The truth is that we were Essential but Expendable Workers. And that must change. It starts here, with all of us.
